The flight was simple (and short — only two hours!) and the time change of +1 hour should be pretty easy to accommodate. It is a late arrival though and by the time I got out of immigration etc… it was just after 9pm. The University was there to greet me (as were two other professors and two students who arrived within an hour of me) — we waited a short time for a third professor before suddenly being shunted off to a waiting van to bring us to Seoul Womens University. The fellow who was our greeter stayed behind…presumably to meet the other part. Perhaps their plane was late…I never did find out actually. The van trip was fine. I become somewhat acquainted with both the students and professors who would be working with me over the next four weeks. One was from VIU, while the other was from the States. The University itself was over an hour from the airport (the shuttle was useful, but now I could probably managed via subway…although in significantly more time!). Upon arrival we were quickly passed through a hello, passed a welcome package (with a shirt and program), and showed to our rooms. Four rooms per dorm — four beds per room. Fortunately, for the profs, we were only set up as one per room and in my dorm there were only three of us…One …
